Kia ora. In reading time our group and another are learning about Anzac Animals ( If you don't know what an Anzac Animal is, it is animals that went to war). Our group did a slide show about Anzac Animals, the process was kind of interesting because we learnt some new things about the war. We also learnt about animals that we thought would never go to war like donkeys and camels. -Khiel
Hi Room 8. We are Mrs McG's class in Punui-o-toka. We loved your post. We enjoyed it. We learnt lots about ANZAC Animals by reading your slides. We didn't know that pigeons were used in the war to carry secret messages. We also learnt that camels were used in the war in certain places. Only 2 of us have studied ANZAC Animals before, so it was good for us to learn about. Maybe next time you could adjust the timings on the slide to slow down a bit so we could read them better. What are you learning about now?
ReplyDeleteHello Room 8.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I really enjoyed reading some of the facts that you found. Two facts surprised me the most.
Number 1 was that they could get gas from horse droppings and number 2 was that they trained hawks to kill the pigeons. It must of been such a dreadful place for all those that fought in the wars.
I go to the Dawn Parade that is held in Cramner Square to show my respect to the men and women who never made it home.
