Cartouches
We are studying Ancient Egypt this term. We have been learning about Egyptian hieroglyphs. We all made a cartouche with our name in hieroglyphs. Ancient Eqyptians believed that if their name was engraved into a cartouche, they would survive in the 'afterlife'.

Hi Room 8. I like how you have written your names from Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics. Our teacher is going to put the link onto our site for us to use and write our own names. The majority of us have not studied Ancient Egypt before, so we learnt something new today. We would love to see photos of you making your Cartouches.
